...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a 
Flood Warning for the following river in Indiana...

  White River at Petersburg.

  White River at Hazleton.

.Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches across southern parts of central 
Indiana will produce lowland flooding along portions of the White 
River. River flooding should begin by late Saturday afternoon. Minor 
flooding is forecast to occur.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

* At 10:30 AM EST Friday /9:30 AM CST Friday/ the stage was 11.9 
  feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage 
  tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 17.3 feet early Sunday morning. 
  It will then fall below flood stage Monday afternoon.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet, Flooding affects low agricultural lands, 
  low oil fields and closes Bottoms Rd...Brothers Rd and East 
  Govenors Road in Knox County.  In agricultural season...farmers 
  are concerned at this stage.

  morning to a crest of 17.4 feet Sunday evening. It will then fall 
  below flood stage late Monday evening.
* Impact...At 17.5 feet, Flood water is near or starting on 
  Pottsville Road.  Low bottomlands are increasingly affected by 
  flood waters.

  Pike County roads.  Many of the following county roads begin to

  and CR 1000E.  Pike county road subject to flooding west of SR 57 
  include...CR 250 W...CR 400W...CR 675N...CR 700 N...CR  1000w...CR 
  900W...CR 700W and CR 775W.

  will then fall to 13.8 feet and begin rising again early tomorrow 
  afternoon. It will rise above flood stage early Sunday morning and 
  continue to rise to 18.0 feet Sunday evening. It will then fall 
  below flood stage Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Floodwaters cover much low ground in 
  agricultural season.  Low lying oil fields...Pottsville Road and 
  possibly a few other low rural roads flood.  High water isolates 
  Pottstown, a river cabin community.

...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following river in 
Indiana...

  White River between Petersburg and Hazleton.

.River levels have not risen as much as initially expected from the 
rains from earlier this week.  Thus the flood warnings have been 
canceled.  Rains on Monday into Tuesday may lead to additional rises 
that could lead to renewed flooding by later in the week. If you 
have interests that are susceptible to minor flooding along the 
lower White and Wabash Rivers, be sure to follow the forecasts in 
the days to come.
