Flatrock River near Columbus affecting Bartholomew County.
East Fork White River near Bedford affecting Martin and Lawrence
Counties.
...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity for the
following rivers in Indiana...
East Fork White River at Seymour affecting Washington, Jackson
and Lawrence Counties.
.Rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is resulting in minor flooding along area
rivers with moderate flooding expected along the East Fork White
River near Seymour. Flooding will continue through
next week and beyond depending on the location. Flooding will last
the longest over lower portions of the Wabash and White rivers.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* There is no current observed data.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
Wednesday morning to a crest of 21.6 feet early Friday morning. It
will then fall below flood stage Saturday evening.
* Impact...At 21.2 feet, At this level during December 2013
backwater reached the tailwater of Lake Monroe as Salt Creek
stopped falling. The crest of the river followed 2 days later and
reached 27.6 feet at Bedford and caused Salt Creek to rise nearly
6 feet at the tailwater of Monroe Lake.

* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 5:45 AM EST Monday was 16.2 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 17.0 feet this evening. It will
then fall to 16.1 feet and begin rising again this evening. It
will rise to 16.7 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then
fall below flood stage Wednesday evening.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet, Flooding becomes more extensive. Although
this level is fairly frequent...many local and state roads flood.
Seymour gravel pit begins to flood. Livestock and equipment must
be relocated to higher ground. High water surrounds river
residences near Rockford. CR 760 E south of river gaging station
is impassable.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.0
feet on 02/26/1985.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following waterways in
Indiana...
East Fork White River, White River, Sugar Creek, Driftwood River,
Flatrock River, Wabash River, Youngs Creek.
.Flooding continues along rivers and streams across central and
southern Indiana as a result of heavy rain over the weekend combined
with snow melt from last week. Flooding along smaller creeks and
streams have ended with larger creeks and streams at or near crest.
This flooding will continue into next week for the lower portions of
the White and Wabash rivers. No precipitation is expected through
the rest of the week.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

inaccessible. During agricultural season much flood damage can
occur. High water isolates some river cabin residents.
