...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a 
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana...

  Haw Creek near Clifford 1.2 SE affecting Bartholomew County.

.Thunderstorms on Thursday evening produced 3 to nearly 5 inches of 
rain in a small area across southern Shelby and northeast 
Bartholomew Counties. This has caused Haw Creek to rise rapidly into 
minor flood stage early this morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

  the Haw Creek near Clifford 1.2 SE.
* From early this morning to late this morning.
* At 3:15 AM EDT Friday the stage was 11.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage with a maximum 
  value of 12.6 feet expected by 5 to 6 am. It will fall below flood 
  stage after daybreak.
* Impact...At 12.5 feet, CR 450 N outside of the City of Columbus is 
  closed according to Columbus Flood Response Plan.

.Thunderstorms on Thursday evening produced 3 to nearly 5 inches of 
rain in a small area across southern Shelby and northeast 
Bartholomew Counties. This caused Haw Creek to rise rapidly into 
minor flood stage early this morning. Minor flooding will continue 
into the afternoon before ending.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

* At 8:00 AM EDT Friday the stage was 13.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending 
  at 8:00 AM EDT Friday was 13.2 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this 
  afternoon and continue falling to 7.1 feet this evening.
* Impact...At 13.3 feet, Haw Creek reached 13.3 feet near Clifford 
  on April 20, 2011 and closed Rocky Ford Road just west of Marr 
  Road.  Rocky Ford Road floods on the westside of the bridge.  
  Columbus Peoples Trail just west of Marr Road and north of Rocky 
  Ford Road flooded.
