Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana...
Sugar Creek near Edinburgh affecting Johnson County.
East Fork White River near Rivervale affecting Martin and
Lawrence Counties.
.Minor flooding is in progress on Sugar Creek near Edinburgh.
Flooding is expected to end on Sugar Creek at Edinburgh tonight.
Minor flooding is expected to begin on the East Fork of the White
River at Rivervale by Monday evening, with a crest of 24.2 feet
Wednesday evening. The East Fork of the White River at Rivervale
will remain in flood into Saturday.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* At 10:00 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 12.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 10:00 AM EDT Sunday was 12.6 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 10.2 feet this evening.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet, Flooding of Sugar Creek in Atterbury Fish
and Wildlife Area in southern Johnson County. River Road north of
Old Hospital Road and CR 650S that run through the wildlife area
are not flooded...but many of the side roads from these roads are
flooded. Water extends to SR 252 along a small tributary to Sugar
Creek.

* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow evening to a crest of 24.2 feet Wednesday evening. It
will then fall below flood stage early Saturday afternoon.
* Impact...At 25.0 feet, During the late March 2008 flood, the
Bedford Times reported the following County Roads still under
water; River Road, entire Road; Bartlettsville Road, by the bridge
and in the bottoms; Judah-Logan Road, by the bridge; Logan
Bottoms, the gravel part; Donica Church Road, between Logan Bottom
and the hill; Peerless Road, by Mica Metals; Little Salt Creek
Run; Stumphole Bridge Road, near Indiana State Road 450;
Huron-Williams Road; Lawrenceport Road; Rivervale Road and Earl
Road.

Pottsville river cabins. Pottsville Road...North C Street on river
side of railroad tracks and Catt Street near U.S. Highway 41 are
flooded. Water is near or starting on Giro Road in the vicinity of
submerged Pottsville Road. Oil stripped fields flood. Flood gates
must be installed at Hazleton.

closed at this level during March 2008 flood. Every road leading

except for State Road 46 was flooded during the bigger March 2008
flood. All roads were flooded in June 2008.

* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 10:30 AM EDT Sunday was 14.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.3 feet
this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday
morning.
* Impact...At 14.9 feet, Extensive flooding along Driftwood River in
northern Bartholomew County on March 7 2011. Double Y Saddle
Club area extensively flooded. Water flowing over CR 950 N to
Club. CR 330W is flooded just south of its intersection with Ohio
Ridge Rd. CR 500N west of CR 250W is flooded blocking vehicular
access to residences near the river bank. Lowell Public Access
site is completely flooded. Water very near several residences
and seasonal homes along CR 330W and CR 325W.
