Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana...

  Wabash River at Clinton.

.Heavy rainfall last night and this morning has increased the height 
of the crest on the Wabash and extended the crest out in time as 
well. This has induced minor flooding at the Wabash at Clinton in 
line with flooding already ongoing or expected from Montezuma 
through Riverton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

  Wabash River, White River.


.Minor lowland flooding continues on portions of the Wabash River 
from Montezuma southward as a result of recent heavy rainfall. The 
latest rounds of heavy rain, which fell Wednesday night and Thursday 
morning, will keep flooding going longer along this stretch of the 
Wabash as well as likely push the White River into flood at Elliston 
and Edwardsport by late Friday evening.  Flooding is expected to 
last as long late evening Tuesday, July 6.

Dry weather is predicted to last through Tuesday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

from Montezuma southward as a result of recent heavy rainfall. The 
crest of the Wabash is just downstream of Montezuma this morning and 
should reach Terre Haute Saturday morning. On the White, flooding is 
expected to develop at Elliston and Edwardsport later today, with 
the crest at Elliston Saturday morning.

Dry weather is forecast to last through Tuesday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

* Until early Wednesday morning.
* At 7:00 PM CDT Friday /8:00 PM EDT Friday/ the stage was 17.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending 
  at 7:00 PM CDT Friday /8:00 PM EDT Friday/ was 17.7 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.4 feet 
  Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday 
  afternoon.
* Impact...At 18.5 feet, High water surrounds elevated river 
  cabins.  County roads to these cabins are impassable.  
  Agricultural flooding is in progress.  Seep water develops behind 
  levees.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site.
* Until early Wednesday morning.
* There is no current observed data.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.6 feet 
  early Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early 
  Tuesday afternoon.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet, Leaverton Park in Palestine and park in 
  Hutsonville begin to flood.  Agricultural flooding spreads to 
  higher land.  Seep water is noticeable behind levees.  Some 
  elevated river cottages are surrounded by water.  Several county 
  or township roads east of Lincoln Heritage Trail between Palestine 
  and Hutsonville in Crawford County Illinois are impassable.

* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending 
  at 7:30 PM CDT Friday /8:30 PM EDT Friday/ was 20.5 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.6 feet 
  just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage 
  early Monday morning.
* Impact...At 20.5 feet, Flooding behind the Honey Creek levee 
  becomes rather extensive.  Most low roads are flooded.

* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending 
  at 7:45 PM EDT Friday was 19.9 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late 
  tomorrow evening and continue falling to 5.6 feet Monday, July 12.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Montezuma agricultural levee is 
  overtopped.  Fourteen hundred acres of low bottomlands flood.
