.Flooding is ongoing or will begin this week as a result of
excessive rain that fell Friday evening through Saturday morning
across mainly the southern half of Indiana.

Moderate flooding, almost reaching major flood stage, is occurring
at Seymour on the East Fork White River in southern Indiana.
Flooding of this magnitude typically causes significant damage to

crests at or about moderate flood stage are expected on the White
River from Elliston to Edwardsport early this week in southwestern
Indiana.

Numerous rain gauge reports from our big rain were in excess of
three inches. Some totals were in the 5 to 8-inch range, peaking at
7.41 inches in Spencer in Owen County and 7.42 inches in
Ellettsville in Monroe County.

Flood Statement
National Weather Service Indianapolis IN
1042 PM EDT Tue Jun 22 2021

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...

East Fork White River, White River.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

East Fork White River, White River.

.Recent excessive rainfall either has produced or is expected to
produce river flooding along portions of the White River and East
Fork White River in southern Indiana.

Water levels on the White River from Elliston southward are
currently in flood, with the crest as of late Tuesday evening at
Edwardsport. Flooding is ongoing at Seymour and Rivervale on the
East Fork White River, and is forecast to go into flood at Bedford
and Williams Wednesday. The crest on the East Fork White River is
approaching Rivervale as of late Tuesday evening. Flooding is
expected to stay below moderate flood level on both rivers and last
into the weekend on the East Fork White River, and into early next
week on the White River.

Chances for rain will return Thursday afternoon. Rainfall Friday
through Tuesday increasingly is looking to bring renewed rises to
area waterways and flooding to Indiana.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/ind.

The next statement should be issued Wednesday morning by around 1145
AM EDT /1045 AM CDT/.

Flood Statement
National Weather Service Indianapolis IN
909 PM EDT Thu Jun 24 2021

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

White River and East Fork White River in south central and
  southwest Indiana

...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in
Indiana...

  White River at Edwardsport

.Recent excessive rainfall has produced minor river flooding along
portions of the White River and East Fork White River in south
central and southwest Indiana.

Water levels on the White River from just south of Edwardsport
southward are currently in flood, with the crest as of Thursday
evening nearing Petersburg. The crest along the East Fork White
River is near Bedford. Flooding is expected to stay below moderate
flood level on both rivers.

Chances for rain can be expected at times from now through at least
the middle of next week. Widespread, potentially heavy rainfall
late this week into early next week appears likely to produce
additional rises on area rivers and may produce flooding more
extensive than what has been experienced in recent days.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/ind.

The next statement should be issued Friday by 1200 PM EDT.

Flood Statement
National Weather Service Indianapolis IN
1056 PM EDT Fri Jun 25 2021

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...
Illinois...

Wabash River, East Fork White River, White River.

.Recent excessive rainfall has produced minor river flooding along
portions of the White River and East Fork White River in south
central and southwest Indiana. Expected heavy rain will cause the
Wabash River to flood in west central Indiana.

Water levels on the White River from Petersburg southward are
currently in flood, with the crest as of late Friday evening between
Petersburg and Hazleton. Flooding is expected to stay below moderate
flood level on all rivers.

To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...

Wabash River at Montezuma affecting Parke, Vigo and Vermillion
  Counties.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

White River at Hazleton affecting Knox and Gibson Counties.

.Recent excessive rainfall has produced minor river flooding along
portions of the White River in southwest Indiana.

Water levels on the White River from Petersburg southward are
currently in flood, with the crest near Hazleton. Minor flooding
should come to an end on the lower White early this week. On the
Wabash at Montezuma, minor flooding may develop, but anything more
would require additional heavy rain in the Wabash valley.

Chances for rain can be expected at times from now through much of
the week. Should heavy rainfall occur over the same area on multiple
days, more extensive flooding could develop.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/ind.

The next statement should be issued Monday morning by around 1000 AM
EDT /900 AM CDT/.
