* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Clay County in south central Illinois...

* Until 915 PM CDT.

* At 616 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of 
  rain have fallen in the past hour, with saturated conditions 
  already from heavy previous rain. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

EVENING FOR SOUTHERN CLAY COUNTY...

At 824 PM CDT, emergency management reported flooding from earlier 
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 
and 5 inches of rain have fallen today. Flash flooding is already 
occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
         drainage and low lying areas.
