Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

  the Lumber River Near Lumberton.
* From Wednesday morning until further notice.
* At 8:40 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 12.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late tomorrow 
  morning to 13.1 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below 
  flood stage early Thursday afternoon to 12.9 feet and begin rising 
  again early Thursday afternoon. It will rise above flood stage 
  again Thursday evening and continue to rise to 13.2 feet early 
  Saturday morning. It will then fall again but remain above flood 
  stage.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet, Low land flooding will occur along the 
  river. The flood waters may affect some residential property as 
  water backs up into the drainage ditches in the city.
