* Until midnight CDT.

* At 836 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across northeastern Cullman County. Between 5 and 7 
  inches of rain have fallen, especially near Arab, Joppa, and 
  Baileyton. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are 
  possible Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, highways,
           streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage
           and low-lying areas.

rain across northeastern Cullman County. Between 6 and 8 inches of 
rain have fallen, especially near Arab, Joppa, and Baileyton. 
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible. Flash 
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

The heavy rain has ended. A new Areal Flood Warning has replaced 
this as residual flooding is still ongoing. Please continue to heed 
remaining road closures.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 700 AM CDT Thursday for 
portions of Alabama and southern middle Tennessee.
