The National Weather Service in League City has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
  Central Burleson County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 230 AM CDT.

* At 832 PM CDT, Emergency management reported that although heavy 
  rain has ended in the warning area, some flooded roads remain this 
  evening.

* Use extra caution if you are driving in the warned area this 
  evening, and avoid any water-covered roads.

It is difficult to accurately gauge the danger in crossing a flooded 
road, and it becomes even more difficult at night. A deceptively low 
amount of water can turn a vehicle into a dangerous situation.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Caldwell, Snook, Lyons and Chriesman.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
