GUZ001-010900- /O.UPG.PGUM.FW.A.0004.000000T0000Z-210301T0900Z/ /O.NEW.PGUM.FW.W.0004.210228T2123Z-210301T0800Z/ Guam- 723 AM ChST Mon Mar 1 2021 ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CHST THIS EVENING FOR HIGH WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR GUAM... The National Weather Service in Tiyan has issued a Red Flag Warning, which upgrades and supersedes the Fire Weather Watch. The warning is in effect through 6 PM. * AFFECTED AREA...Guam. * WIND...Winds will increase to between 15 and 20 miles per hour this morning with gusts up to 30 miles per hour possible, especially in higher-terrain areas. Winds will remain at these speeds through the afternoon. * HUMIDITY...45 to 50% during the afternoon. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now...or will shortly.
