...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHWESTERN WILKES AND EASTERN
OGLETHORPE COUNTIES UNTIL 245 AM EDT...

At 221 AM EDT...a strong thunderstorm was over Vesta, or 12 miles
east of Lexington. This storm was nearly stationary.

  HAZARD...Heavy rain...winds up to 40 mph...and pea sized hail. 
           
  IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of 
           light...unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary 
           street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Some locations in the path of this storm include
Tignall, Rayle, Jacksons Crossroads, Mallorysville, Norman, Vesta and
Point Peter.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
