* Until late this afternoon.
* At 6:31 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 14.6 feet, and rising.
* Flood stage is 15 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast to develop.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
this morning reaching a crest of 15.4 feet by late this morning.
It will then fall below flood stage by this afternoon.
* Impact...At 15 feet, flood stage is reached with minor flooding of
woodlands and fields beginning upstream and downstream from the
gage on the Georgia Highway 72 bridge. A sand dredge operation on
the left bank near the gage will become affected. A portion of Roy
Wood Road will be flooded with a few feet of water and the dirt
parking lot of the Broad River Outpost for Canoes and Kayaks will
begin to flood. A wooden pier and portions of the yard behind an
assisted living home off of Roy Wood Road will be flooded.

* Minor flooding is occurring but is expected to end soon.
* Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late this
afternoon to 8.8 feet and then begin rising just after midnight
tonight. It will then rise again to 9.1 feet Friday morning. It
will fall to 6.7 feet and remain below flood stage.
* Impact...At 21 feet, Minor flooding expands further into the
woodlands and fields along the river. A sand dredge operation on
the left bank near the gage will be flooded out. Large portions of
Roy Wood Road and the Broad River Outpost for Canoes and Kayaks
location will be under several feet of water. Flooding expands
over the yard behind an assisted living home off of Roy Wood Road.

will then rise again to 9.1 feet tomorrow morning. It will fall to
6.7 feet and then begin rising Saturday morning. It will then rise
again to 6.9 feet Saturday evening. It will fall again and remain
below flood stage.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Oconee River near Milledgeville.
* Until tomorrow afternoon.
* At 9:15 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 25.2 feet and steady.
* Flood stage is 22 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and forecast to continue.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
tomorrow morning and continue falling to 12.3 feet Tuesday evening.
* Impact...At 24 feet, Minor flooding continues upstream and
downstream from the gage located around one half mile upstream
from the Georgia Highway 22 and 24 bridge. The parking lot and
portions of the Oconee River Greenway Park just downstream from
the bridge will be flooded. Low lying areas of woodlands and
pasture near the river will be flooded one to two feet deep.
Sinclair Dam will likely have two gates open to reach this height.

the Ocmulgee River near Macon.
* Until late Monday evening.
* At 8:30 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 18.6 feet and falling.
* Flood stage is 18 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and forecast to continue.
* Forecast...The river will fall to 18 feet and then begin rising
tomorrow morning. It will then rise again to 18.4 feet early
Saturday morning. It will fall to 18 feet and then begin rising
early Saturday afternoon. It will then rise again to 18.8 feet
Sunday evening. It will fall below flood stage Monday afternoon.
* Impact...At 19 feet, Minor flooding continues. The Macon Greenway
Ocmulgee Heritage Trail will begin to flood in areas just north of
the Martin Luther King Boulevard bridge. The public should not use
this portion of the trail. In addition...the lowest sections of
the Charles Jones Gateway Park will flood. Portions of
agricultural lands well downstream will be under two feet of water.
