a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas...

  Guadalupe River Near Cuero affecting DeWitt County.

For the Guadalupe River...including Cuero...Minor flooding is 
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

  the Guadalupe River Near Cuero.
* From Friday morning to early Wednesday morning.
* At 8:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 18.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage 
  tomorrow morning to a crest of 32.0 feet early Sunday morning. It 
  will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday afternoon.
* Impact...At 31.0 feet, water crosses State Hwy 72 on west side of 
  the Guadalupe River west of Cuero. Roadway likely closed.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 31.7 
  feet on 05/01/2007.

  the Guadalupe River Near Cuero.
* Until late Monday evening.
* At 1:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 19.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue falling this afternoon into 
  evening. It will then rise again tonight to above flood stage late 
  tomorrow morning to crest at 25.1 feet tomorrow evening. It will 
  then fall to below flood stage late Monday morning.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet, Minor low lying flooding extends into the 
  floodplain above and below Cuero. Steen Road (between FM  766 and 
  US Hwy 183 near Hochheim) monitored for flooding.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 25.4 
  feet on 06/29/1993.

* Until early Tuesday morning.
* At 8:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 19.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage early tomorrow 
  afternoon to 25.1 feet early Sunday morning. It will then fall to 
  25.0 feet and begin rising again Sunday morning. It will rise to 
  25.9 feet Sunday evening. It will then fall below flood stage 
  early Monday afternoon.
* Impact...At 27.0 feet, Flooding extends into floodplain above 
  Cuero threatening livestock. US Hwy 183 North at Hochheim has 
  water on or crossing the roadway. Highway likely closed.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 25.9 
  feet on 06/06/1992.

.River is currently below flood stage. However, a secondary crest is 
expected Sunday afternoon that could reenter flood stage as upstream 
flows arrive. We will continue to monitor levels and reissue any 
products, if needed.
