a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas...
Sandies Creek Near Westhoff affecting DeWitt County.
For the Guadalupe River...including Westhoff...Moderate flooding is
forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a
* Flood Warning for
the Sandies Creek Near Westhoff.
* From late tonight to Thursday morning.
* At 7:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 19.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just
after midnight tonight to a crest of 23.1 feet tomorrow evening.
It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday evening.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet, Major lowland flooding from the headwaters
southeast of Seguin to the Guadalupe River confluence near Cuero.
The flow is over one half mile wide. Livestock are cut off and
potentially drowned in low areas of the flood plain. Roads and low
bridges near the creek are flooded and impassable.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 23.3
feet on 04/12/1997.

* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river has reached flood stage and is expected to
crest at moderate flood stage early this evening at 22.0 feet. It
will then fall below flood stage tomorrow evening.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Sandies Creek Near Westhoff.
* Until late tomorrow evening.
* At 7:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 21.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 7:00 PM CDT Tuesday was 21.6 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
tomorrow morning and continue falling to 8.0 feet Sunday evening.
* Impact...At 22.0 feet, Sandies Creek escapes the channel hundreds
of yards into the flood plain from the headwaters to the Guadalupe
River confluence. Livestock in low areas are cut off and
potentially drowned. Secondary roads and low bridges are flooded
and dangerous. The approaches of the Westhoff/Cheapside road
bridge over Sandies Creek are flooded and water is to the bottom
of the bridge.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.2
feet on 05/20/2015.
