By afternoon sustained 20 ft winds of 20-25 mph will be occurring near the Rio Grande, with the potential for gusts 30 to 40 mph. Minimum RH values in the teens are forecast during the gusty northwest winds. This region has missed the heavier rainfall of recent systems, and the bulk of the rainfall with this front should occur just to the northeast.
