Dry conditions will keep relative humidity low despite some minor moistening. this will create elevated to critical fire weather conditions across much of southwest and south central New Mexico and Far West Texas. Brief and intermittent Red Flag conditions are likely across the region, but Far West Texas will be the driest and windiest, providing the best chances for critical weather conditions and Red Flag criteria. Winds will become sustained at 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts, and relative humidity will fall into the 10 to 15 percent range. Dry and susceptible fuels will be especially prone to rapid and uncontrollable fire growth.
