Snow levels may start off near 2500 to 3000 feet in parts of northeast Trinity County, but are above 3000 feet along the Highway 299 corridor, and will tend to rise tonight. Most Trinity County passes will just have wet road conditions, with travel impacts mainly limited to higher portions of highway 3 north of Weaverville. The next round of precipitation will arrive by late Wednesday afternoon and evening. Snow levels on Wednesday will generally be near or above 4000 feet. However, colder air will spread across the region Friday, with snow levels around 2500 to 3000 feet. Even lower snow levels along with additional precipitation is expected for the weekend across much of Northwest California.
