.A band of heavy rain will move over the River Complex Burn Scar 
tonight. The heaviest rainfall rates are expected to occur this 
evening. Rainfall rates from three tenths to half of an inch per 
hour are expected to occur for 3 to 5 hours. This will enhance the 
potential for debris flow, particularly around Coffee Creek.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR DEBRIS FLOW ON THE RIVER COMPLEX BURN SCAR 
IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM PDT THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of northwest California, including 
  the following area, Northern Trinity.

* From 8 PM PDT this evening through late tonight.

* Rainfall rates could exceed half an inch per hour by late this 
  evening increasing the risk for debris flow, especially in the 
  Coffee Creek area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action 
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH WILL EXPIRE AT 1 AM PDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

The Flash Flood Watch for a portion of the River Complex Burn Scar
in northwest California will expire at 1 AM PDT early this 
morning. While a period of rainfall rates over a quarter-inch per
hour occurred this evening, the threat for heavier rates that
might have caused local debris flow flash flooding did not
materialize, and the rainfall rates should gradually decrease
through Thursday morning.
