.Gusty conditions are expected to develop Monday afternoon at
high elevations of fire zone 203 and 204 with gusts above 30 mph.
Minimum humidities are expected to be very dry with poor to very
poor overnight recoveries.

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 203 and 204 above 2000ft.

* WIND...Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph with the strongest winds 
  on the eastern ridges. Local areas may see gusts above 30 mph 
  in the late afternoon and evening.

* HUMIDITY...Minimum humidities in the low teens throughout the 
  area. Recoveries on ridges will be poor to very poor 
  overnight likely rising no higher than the mid 20s.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.

...VERY DRY AND LOCALLY GUSTY CONDITIONS OVER PORTIONS OF 
NORTHWEST CALIFORNIA MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING...

.A building ridge of high pressure and offshore winds will
result in critical fire weather conditions around interior Del
Norte, northeast Humboldt, and western Siskiyou County. Gusty 
northeast winds will develop this afternoon across exposed upper
slopes and ridges of fire weather zones 203 and 204. Minimum 
humidities are expected to be very dry Monday and Tuesday, along
with poor to very poor overnight recoveries.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 10 AM
PDT TUESDAY FOR ELEVATIONS ABOVE 2000 FEET...

The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 10 AM PDT
Tuesday. The Fire Weather Watch has been upgraded. 

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 203 and 204 above 2000 feet
  elevation.

* WIND...Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph with the strongest winds on
  north and east-facing ridges. Local areas may see gusts above 30
  mph this evening. 

* HUMIDITY...Minimum humidities around 10 to 18 percent.
  Recoveries Tuesday morning above mid-slopes will be poor to very
  poor, in the 20 to 40 percent range.

* IMPACTS...Strong, gusty wind with low relative humidity and
critically dry vegetation will greatly increase the spread
potential of any new and existing fires.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Avoid tossing burning cigarettes on the ground, parking hot
vehicles on dry vegetation, and using equipment that can cause
sparks.
