The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northern Pettis County in central Missouri...

* Until 630 PM CDT.
    
* At 545 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near La Monte, or 7 miles northeast of Knob Noster,
  moving northeast at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  La Monte, Houstonia and Hughesville.
