tonight. It will rise above flood stage early Sunday morning and
continue to rise to 23.8 feet early Monday afternoon. It will then
fall again but remain above flood stage.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet, Cropland near State Highway 92 near Platte
City begins to flood.
* Impact...At 22.0 feet, Flooding occurs at Humphreys Access Area
which is located 5 miles downstream from Platte City. 300 acres of

along the creek begins.

Street bridge over Wakenda Creek.

the South Grand River at Urich.
* Until late Tuesday morning.
* At 9:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 26.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.8 feet
tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Monday
morning.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet, Flooding occurs across locations within 0.5
to 1.5 miles of the river. Areas affected include low lying
pastures along with cropland and secondary roads.
* Impact...At 28.0 feet, K Highway is under water approximately 1
mile south of Urich. Many other roads along the river are flooded
as well.

* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tomorrow morning and continue falling to 3.0 feet Thursday evening.
* Impact...At 16.0 feet, Flooding of low-lying undeveloped areas
along the creek begins.
* Impact...At 19.1 feet, Water reaches the bottom of the South Main
Street bridge over Wakenda Creek.
* Impact...At 19.8 feet, South Main Street along with Stonewall
Street and Wabash Road on the south side of Carrollton are
overtopped by flood waters. Flood waters also threaten businesses
in low-lying areas near the creek.
* Impact...At 20.7 feet, Wakenda Creek begins to flood the first
floors of businesses along South Main Street in Carrollton.
* Impact...At 21.1 feet, Water overtops the South Main Street bridge.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet, Water reaches the bottom of the Highway 65
bridge.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 20.5
feet on 06/05/2020.
