Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri...Kansas...

  Big Creek at Blairstown affecting Johnson MO, Cass and Henry 
  Counties.

  Blackwater River near Blue Lick affecting Saline and Cooper 
  Counties.

  Blackwater River at Valley City affecting Johnson MO and Pettis 
  Counties.

  Stranger Creek at Easton affecting Leavenworth and Atchison KS 
  Counties.

  Wakenda Creek at Carrollton affecting Carroll County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

  the Wakenda Creek at Carrollton.
* From this evening to early Saturday afternoon.
* At 1:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 4.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this 
  evening to a crest of 18.8 feet just after midnight tonight. It 
  will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon.
* Impact...At 16.0 feet, Flooding of low-lying undeveloped areas 
  along the creek begins.
* Impact...At 19.1 feet, Water reaches the bottom of the South Main 
  Street bridge over Wakenda Creek.
* Impact...At 19.8 feet, South Main Street along with Stonewall 
  Street and Wabash Road on the south side of Carrollton are 
  overtopped by flood waters. Flood waters also threaten businesses 
  in low-lying areas near the creek.
* Impact...At 20.7 feet, Wakenda Creek begins to flood the first 
  floors of businesses along South Main Street in Carrollton.

* From this evening to early Tuesday morning.
* At 12:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this 
  evening to a crest of 28.8 feet early Saturday afternoon. It will 
  then fall below flood stage early Monday morning.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet, Cropland and pastures along the river flood.
* Impact...At 29.0 feet, Livestock in pastures along the river may 
  be endangered. Extensive damage also occurs to cropland and 
  pasture.

* From this evening to late Saturday morning.
* At 12:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 4.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this 
  evening to a crest of 19.7 feet just after midnight tonight. It 
  will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet, Water enters low-lying fields south of 
  Easton.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, 1st street in Easton and 231st street north 
  and south of Easton begin to flood.
* Impact...At 19.5 feet, Highway 192 just east of Easton is closed 
  due to swift current of water over the road.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet, All roads out of Easton except for highway 
  192 west of 231st street in Easton are closed. In addition, water 
  covers Millwood Road, 3 miles north of Easton. Water depth is 6 
  inches across the eastbound lane.
* Impact...At 21.5 feet, Most of Easton east of 231st Street floods. 
  Several homes experience water on the first floor. Water nearly 
  surrounds but does not enter the former Easton grade school.

* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late 
  this evening to a crest of 22.5 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It 
  will then fall below flood stage Saturday evening.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet, The west bank of the creek begins to flood.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet, Flooding occurs at the west approach to the 
  N Highway bridge located 0.2 miles west of Blairstown. Flooding 
  also occurs across B Highway near Big Creek which is several miles 
  northwest of Blairstown.

  begin to flood.
* Impact...At 25.0 feet, County Highway E near Valley City and 
  Highway 23 near the Perry State Wildlife Area are under water.
