...The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill MO has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri...
Big Creek at Blairstown affecting Johnson MO, Cass and Henry
Counties.
Blackwater River at Valley City affecting Johnson MO and Pettis
Counties.
Blackwater River near Blue Lick affecting Saline and Cooper
Counties.
Lamine River near Otterville affecting Cooper County.
South Grand River at Urich affecting Bates, Cass and Henry
Counties.
.Moderate to heavy rainfall will affect western and central Missouri
for much of Friday into Saturday. By Saturday morning, rainfall
amounts approaching 2 inches are likely. The following river
forecasts contain 48 hours of forecast rainfall. Additional rainfall
is expected outside of this period which will affect later river
forecasts.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

the Big Creek at Blairstown.
* From Friday evening to late Monday night.
* At 9:00 AM CST Thursday the stage was 13.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 16.0 feet tomorrow morning. It
will then fall to 15.6 feet and begin rising again early tomorrow
afternoon. It will rise above flood stage tomorrow evening and
continue to rise to 24.1 feet Saturday evening. It will then fall
below flood stage early Monday morning.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet, The west bank of the creek begins to flood.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet, Flooding occurs at the west approach to the
N Highway bridge located 0.2 miles west of Blairstown. Flooding
also occurs across B Highway near Big Creek which is several miles
northwest of Blairstown.
* Impact...At 26.0 feet, Many farm levees along Big Creek are
overtopped. Flooding of rural areas behind the levees occurs.

the South Grand River at Urich.
* From Friday evening to Monday afternoon.
* At 9:15 AM CST Thursday the stage was 10.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 12.2 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall to 11.5 feet and begin rising again
early tomorrow afternoon. It will rise above flood stage late
tomorrow evening and continue to rise to 27.0 feet early Saturday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday
afternoon.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet, Flooding occurs across locations within 0.5
to 1.5 miles of the river. Areas affected include low lying
pastures along with cropland and secondary roads.
* Impact...At 28.0 feet, K Highway is under water approximately 1
mile south of Urich. Many other roads along the river are flooded
as well.

* At 9:15 AM CST Thursday the stage was 1.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 2.1 feet this afternoon. It will
then fall to 1.4 feet and begin rising again early tomorrow
afternoon. It will rise above flood stage late tomorrow evening
and continue to rise to 20.0 feet Saturday morning. It will then
fall below flood stage Saturday evening.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet, Low lying woodlands and fields along the
river flood.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Some gravel roads upstream and downstream
from Otterville are under water. In addition State Highway 135 may
be overtopped by flood waters 2 miles north of Clifton City.
