The National Weather Service in Des Moines  has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Central Adams County in southwestern Iowa...

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 616 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located over Corning, moving
  east at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Emergency Management confirmed tornado.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  central Adams County, including the following locations... Lake
  Icaria State Park, Corning Municipal Airport, Carbon and Prescott.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

Heavy rainfall may hide this tornado. Do not wait to see or hear the

At 631 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Lake Icaria, or
near Corning, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado. At 630PM...a tornado 
         was reported on the ground near Prescott. 
         
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

Locations impacted include...
Lake Icaria, Prescott and Lake Icaria State Park.
