LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Northwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 50 mph 
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest and west 
  central Kansas.

* WHEN...From this evening through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power 
  lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be 
  difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Blowing dust is also possible and may 
  impact travelers due to low visibilities.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates on this

TUESDAY...

* WHAT...North winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph 
  expected.

* WHERE...Trego, Ellis, Ness and Rush Counties.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 4 AM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. 
  Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be 
  difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds will generally occur
  for one to three hours behind the front with diminishing winds
  after that.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.
