The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has allowed the Red Flag
Warning for today, Tuesday August 24th, to expire on time this
evening. Gusty winds should continue to subside this evening and
remain light out of the south or southeast after midnight.

The Red Flag Warning for Wednesday remains in effect...

* WIND...Southwest 20 to 25 MPH with gusts up to 35 MPH.

* HUMIDITY...10 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IS CANCELLED FOR WINDS AND HUMIDITY VALUES
REMAINING NON-CRITICAL FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONE 301...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has cancelled the Fire
Weather Watch. 

While relative humidity values are forecast to reach critical
levels, the gustier winds associated with a frontal passage appear
to move through Fire Weather Zone 301 prior to the humidity values
reaching critical levels. The area of concern within the zone that
may reach critical fire weather conditions is the very far western
edge of Converse County. In addition, Haines Index values are 
primarily 3 and 4 for the majority of the zone with the far 
western edge being 5.
