...Very Windy and Dry Today...

.Today's cold frontal passage will lead to critical to near
critical fire weather conditions across the region. However,
humidities will rise behind the front, limiting the amount of time
within critical conditions for zones outside of the south Nebraska
Panhandle. The south Nebraska Panhandle will remain in critical 
conditions for most of the afternoon and evening.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM MDT
THIS EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER 
ZONE 313...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM this morning to 8 PM MDT
this evening. 

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 313.

* WIND...West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts 30 to 35 mph, turning
  northwest mid-afternoon (or post-frontal) with sustained winds 25
  to 35 mph with gusts 45 to 60 mph.

* HUMIDITY...13 to 17 percent.

* HAINES...5 to 6.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
