* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values 112 to
  116.

* WHERE...Coastal Colleton, Charleston and Tidal Berkeley
  Counties, including much of the Charleston Metro Area.

* WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Extreme heat and humidity will significantly 
  increase the potential for heat related illnesses, 
  particularly for those working or participating in outdoor 
  activities.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Late afternoon showers and thunderstorms
  could bring some relief prior to 8 PM for some locations.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young
children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles
under any circumstances.
