...LAKE EFFECT SNOW INCREASING OVER PORTIONS OF NIAGARA AND FAR 
NORTHERN ERIE COUNTIES...

HAZARDS...Moderate to heavy lake effect snow which can rapidly 
reduce visibility to less than one mile. The snow may mix with rain 
or graupel at times. Where only snow is occurring as the 
precipitation type, a quick inch or two of slushy snow could 
accumulate late this evening. Most of the accumulation will occur on 
grassy and elevated surfaces, but if the snow is heavy enough, 
untreated and less traveled roads could become slushy. 

LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 915 PM EST, an area of lake effect rain 
and snow was increasing from Niagara Falls to Wheatfield and Sanborn 
and south to Grand Island and North Tonawanda.

SAFETY INFO... Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather 
situations. Be prepared for changing road conditions. Slow down and 
allow extra time to reach your destination.
