Locally heavy rainfall from thunderstorms early this afternoon is tapering off across southern Allegany County, replaced by areas of light to moderate rain. Thunderstorms produced local rainfall amounts of around 2 inches along a narrow corridor from Genesee and Bolivar to southwest of Wellsville. This will result in high water this afternoon along small streams and in poor drainage areas. Motorists should be alert for standing water on roads.
