At 304 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Wellsville, moving east at 20 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail are possible with this storm. Locations impacted include... Wellsville, Alfred, Friendship, Scio, Andover, Belmont, Almond, West Almond and Knight Creek. This includes Interstate 86 between exits 29 and 30, and between exits 32 and 33. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
