At 423 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Allegany State Park, moving east at 20 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail are possible with this storm. Locations impacted include... Allegany State Park, Limestone, Steamburg and Allegheny Reservoir. This includes Interstate 86 between exits 17 and 18. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
