...A BAND OF HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN WYOMING
AND CENTRAL ERIE COUNTIES...
At 809 AM EST, A band of lake effect snow producing snow fall rates
of 1 to 2 inches was impacting the Southtowns and extended as far
east as western Wyoming county. Expect this band of heavy snow to
remain nearly stationary through 9 AM this morning.
Locations impacted include...
West Seneca, Lackawanna, Hamburg, East Aurora, Evans, Eden, Marilla,
Bennington, Colden, Orchard Park, Blasdell, Angola, Woodlawn Beach
State Park, Derby, Wales Center, Elma Center, Angola on the Lake,
North Boston, Billington Heights and Evangola State Park.
This includes Interstate 90 between exits 57A and 56.
Visibilities will drop quickly to near zero in this band of lake
effect snow.
Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
