...AN AREA OF HEAVY SNOW WILL AFFECT EASTERN WAYNE...SOUTHEASTERN
JEFFERSON...LEWIS...CAYUGA AND OSWEGO COUNTIES...

At 810 PM EST, a strip of heavy snow was located along a line 
extending from 8 miles northeast of Carthage to Cato. The line 
of heavy snow is nearly stationary.

the heavy snow will lower visibility to under a quarter mile at 
times, with snowfall rates of an inch per hour through this evening. 
This will make travel very difficult on Interstate 90 from Montezuma 
to Weedsport, and on I-81 between Central Square and Adams. 
Motorists should slow down and be prepared for snow covered road 
conditions through this evening.
