...A BAND OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL AFFECT WESTERN WYOMING...
NORTHWESTERN CATTARAUGUS...ERIE...NORTHERN CHAUTAUQUA AND
SOUTHWESTERN GENESEE COUNTIES...
At 429 AM EST, A band of lake effect snow producing snow fall rates
of 1 to 2 inches per hour stretches from the Lake Erie shoreline
from Ripley to Orchard Park and inland across southern Erie and
western Wyoming counties. Some thunder and lightning are possible
within this band of snow. The band will remain nearly stationary
through 6 AM.
Locations impacted include...
West Seneca, Lackawanna, Dunkirk, Fredonia, Hamburg, East Aurora,
Darien Lakes State Park, Evans, Elma, Boston, Eden, Marilla,
Springville, Bennington, Colden, Orchard Park, Westfield, Gowanda,
Silver Creek and Alden.
This includes Interstate 90 between exits 61 and 56.
Icy roads are possible as the snow melts on the roads then quickly
refreezes.
