...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

At 320 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
El Jardin Elementary School, or over Southmost, moving northwest at
10 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with this storm. In 
addition, rainfall amounts of half an inch to an inch per hour can 
be expected with this thunderstorm. 

Locations impacted include...
Cameron Park, Downtown Brownsville, Southmost, Port Of Brownsville,
Brownsville, Lincoln Park, B I S D Administration Building, Longoria
Elementary School, Sams Memorial Stadium and Hanna High School.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
