...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

At 518 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a few thunderstorms 15 
miles east of South Padre Island and Boca Chica Beach moving west at 
15 mph. These storms may clip or pass just south of the South Padre 
Island and Boca Chica before 6 PM.

Winds in excess of 25 mph, occasional lightning strikes and brief 
heavy rainfall will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
South Padre Island, South Padre Island Convention Center, Beach
Access Four, South Padre Island Birding Center, South Padre Island
Police Department and Port Isabel--Laguna Heights.
