FOR WEST CENTRAL HIDALGO COUNTY...
At 350 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Mccook, moving
west at 15 mph. A cooperative observer in McCook reported a wind
gust of 61 mph and pea sized hail at 349 PM.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of west
central Hidalgo County.

FOR NORTHWESTERN HIDALGO COUNTY...
At 403 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located from just west of
McCook to the Starr Hidalgo County line, moving west at 15 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...NWS cooperative weather observer. The observer in McCook
reported 61 mph wind gust and pea sized hail at 349 PM.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Mccook and ranch country along the Starr and Hidalgo line.
The strongest winds and possible hail are now located in both
eastern Starr and extreme western Hidalgo County with this storm.
