...TORRENTIAL RAINFALL & LOCALIZED FLOODING...

At 359 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking isolated thunderstorms 
over southern Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts, moving 
northeast at 40 mph. These storms contain torrential rainfall and 
are resulting in localized street and highway flooding. 

Locations impacted include...
Providence, New Bedford, Fall River, Warwick, Cranston, Plymouth,
Taunton, East Providence, Coventry, Dartmouth, South Kingstown, West
Warwick, Johnston, Bridgewater, North Kingstown, Marshfield, Bristol,
Marion, Middleborough and Wareham.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive through flooded roads or underpasses. Avoid low lying
areas near small streams.

Frequent lightning was occurring. Lightning can strike far away from
the storm. Go inside a building or vehicle. Wait at least 30 minutes
until after the storm has passed to resume outdoor activities.
