The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  East central Kidder County in south central North Dakota...

* Until 515 PM CDT.
    
* At 438 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 7 miles east of Tappen, or 8 miles west of Medina,
  moving northeast at 5 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  east central Kidder County, including the following locations...
  Crystal Springs.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM CDT FOR EAST
CENTRAL KIDDER COUNTY...
    
At 444 PM CDT, spotters reported that a confirmed tornado near 
Tappen had just dissipated. The storm that produced this tornado is 
still capable of producing another. If you are in this area take 
cover.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Public confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

The storm which prompted the tornado has weakened, therefore the 
tornado warning has been cancelled. Conditions are still favorable 
for weak landspout tornados in this area for the next couple of 
hours. Remain alert and take shelter if witness one of these weak 
tornados.
