.Critical fire weather conditions are expected to develop across
much of northwest and north central North Dakota this afternoon,
lasting through the early evening. Northwest winds will reach 
sustained speeds around 20 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph. 
Relative humidity is forecast to fall into the 10 to 20 percent 
range by late afternoon. Taking into account these conditions with
the ongoing extreme to exceptional drought, which has kept 
vegetation much drier than normal for this time of year, a Red 
Flag Warning has been issued.
