* Until 1100 PM EDT.
* At 638 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain falling across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

warned area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash
flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Hornell, Bath, Canisteo, Wayland, Addison, Woodhull, Howard,
Jasper, Thurston, Troupsburg, Avoca, Cameron, Arkport, Cohocton,
Greenwood, Hartsville, West Cameron, Haskinville, Kanona and South
Dansville.
Emergency managers reported numerous roads under water in the area
with some bridges beginning to be overtopped. Other reports of
residential flooding with possible collapses of exterior foundation
walls have been received.

that heavy rain had fallen across the warned area. Between 1.5 and
2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring
in several parts of Steuben county.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

Tuscarora Creek near Addison was rapidly rising and is expected to
reach major flood stage. Widespread flood impacts are expected from
Addison to the confluence with the Tioga River.
