...A LINE OF SHOWERS WILL AFFECT EASTERN GRAND TRAVERSE...
SOUTHWESTERN ANTRIM AND NORTHWESTERN KALKASKA COUNTIES...

At 1221 PM EDT, radar indicated showers were located along a line
extending from Torch Lake to near Kingsley. Movement was east at 15
mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail are possible with these
showers.

Locations impacted include...
Traverse City, Elk Rapids, Bellaire, Torch Lake, Central Lake, Clam
River, Barker Creek, Kewadin, Rapid City, Alden, Mapleton, Traverse
City State Park, Old Mission, Spider Lake, Williamsburg, Bates and
Lake Bellaire.

Conditions in the atmosphere are such that weak, brief funnels may 
form this afternoon. Waterspouts have already been reported today. 
They usually develop beneath showers or weak thunderstorms when the 
air aloft is especially cold.

These funnels are usually harmless, but on rare occasions can briefly
touch down and cause wind gusts over 50 mph. If a funnel approaches
your location, move indoors.
