9 AM AKST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...For the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills. 
  Wind chills as low as 50 below zero. For the Wind Chill 
  Warning, dangerously cold wind chills expected near White 
  Pass. Wind chills as low as 60 below zero.

* WHERE...Klondike Highway near White Pass.

* WHEN...For the Wind Chill Advisory, until midnight AKST Monday 
  night. For the Wind Chill Warning, from midnight Monday night 
  to 9 AM AKST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills could cause 
  frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 to 10 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Advisory level wind chills are expected 
  to continue after the warning expires along the Klondike 
  Highway.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Avoid outside activities if possible. When outside, make sure you
wear appropriate clothing, and cover all exposed skin.

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Around 2 to 4 inches of snow has already 
  been reported. Additional snow accumulations of up to 4 inches.

* WHERE...Eastern Baranof Island, including Little Port Walter 
  and Port Alexander. Kuiu and Prince of Wales Islands.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM AKST this evening.

* IMPACTS...The hazardous conditions could impact the evening 
  commute. Areas of blowing snow will reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dry snow will continue to accumulate 
  quickly. Snow will shift away SE through the evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
