AKST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 
  14 inches.

* WHERE...Eastern Kenai Peninsula.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to noon AKST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow is expected to be heaviest late 
  tonight through early Thursday morning. Snowfall rates along the
  Seward Highway south of Moose Pass may exceed 2 inches per hour
  during this time period. Although winds are expected to be 
  generally light, the fluffy nature of the snow may lead to 
  periods of reduced visibility, particularly in the wake of 
  vehicles.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IS CANCELLED...

Areas of moderate snow are tapering off across the eastern Kenai 
Peninsula. Expect periods of light snow to continue through 
Thursday morning with up to an inch of additional snow 
accumulation possible. Visibilities may be reduced at times 
through Thursday due to blowing snow as gusty winds that 
developed this evening persist, especially for locations near the 
coast. Visibilities may also be reduced at times along area 
roadways due to resuspension of fallen snow from vehicle traffic.
