...WIND CHILL ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

Wind Chill Advisory is cancelled for the Kuskokwim Valley as wind
chill values are not expected to reach 40 degrees below zero. 
Even though temperatures will be very cold in the negative teens 
below zero, winds are expected be fairly light to nearly calm 
keeping any wind chills to around 30 to 35 degrees below zero.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM AKST THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Blowing snow occurring. Additional snow accumulations up
  to 1 inch with storm total accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. East
  winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* WHERE...Pribilof Islands.

* WHEN...Through 9 PM AKST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce 
  visibility to one half mile or less.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will continue to fall throughout the
  Pribilof Islands through the remainder of the afternoon and into
  the evening hours. Conditions will gradually improve during the
  evening as the front lifts northeast of the area. Enough cold 
  air is in place with this system and is expected to keep 
  precipitation all snow as a result.

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 
  45 below zero.

* WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to noon AKST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills could cause 
  frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A cold Arctic airmass arriving over 
  Southwest Alaska will cause temperatures to drop to 10 to 15 
  degrees below zero. In addition, northerly winds between 20 to 
  30 mph will create wind chill values as low as 45 below zero 
  during the overnight hours tonight into Saturday, and again 
  Saturday night into Sunday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Limit time outside, and use caution while traveling. Wear
appropriate clothing and take care to not leave any skin exposed.

...WIND CHILL ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

Wind Chill Advisory is cancelled for the Kuskokwim Delta.
Northeast winds are expected to continue slowly diminishing as we
head into the evening hours to around 5 to 10 mph. While very 
cold temperatures are expected once again tonight, with the winds 
diminishing the coldest wind chills are only expected to be 
around 30 to 35 degrees below zero overnight through Sunday 
morning.
