URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Albuquerque NM
238 AM MST Mon Feb 8 2021

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE CENTRAL 
HIGHLANDS, EAST-CENTRAL PLAINS AND NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS DUE TO 
STRONG WEST WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AND AN UNSTABLE 
AIRMASS...

.Strong west winds combined with above average temperatures, low 
relative humidity and an unstable airmass will result in critical
fire weather conditions this afternoon for the central highlands 
including Clines Corners, Vaughn and Encino as well as the east-central
plains and northeast highlands. Any fires that develop during 
this time will have the ability to spread rapidly.

AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag
Warning...which is in effect from 1 PM to 5 PM MST this
afternoon. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. 

* AREA AND TIMING...Sandia, Manzano, and Gallinas mountains
  including the central highlands and east-central plains this
  afternoon.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...West to northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with 
  gusts to 40 mph. 

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Ranging from 6 to 11 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
  Outdoor burning is not recommended. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the
field of this Red Flag Warning.
