* Flash Flood Warning for...
South Central Rio Arriba County in north central New Mexico...
* Until 715 PM MDT.
* At 407 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated strong and slow moving
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area in Rio
Arriba county. Estimated rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches will
create abrupt runoff. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks, canyons, streams,
streets as well as other poor drainage and low-lying
areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Gallina and Lindrith.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not camp along streams and rivers. Remain alert when hiking in
steep, narrow canyons. Know where you are relative to low spots and

rain across the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
