* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Quay County in east central New Mexico...

* Until 915 PM MDT.

* At 604 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain near Porter. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have 
  fallen over the last hour with heavy rain continuing. Flash 
  flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  mainly rural areas of Northeastern Quay County

Flash flooding is likely near the intersection of Highways 469 and 
392. Do not drive through flood waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

EVENING FOR NORTHEASTERN QUAY COUNTY...

At 654 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms that were 
producing heavy rain near Porter have shifted south of the area, and 
rainfall has ended. However, up to 4.5 inches of rain fell and 
runoff is likely to continue. Flash flooding is likely ongoing or 
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.
